Tastings

Wine tasting is a leisure activity where we enjoy making use of our senses and discovering small pleasures. With the wine culture we will learn about the vineyard, production, processing, aging, service temperatures, food pairings, etc. Acquiring a series of basic concepts can help us achieve security in our choices in restaurants and in the purchases we make to taste at home. Find your group of friends wanting to have a good time and we put the rest. Depending on your knowledge we offer different levels:

INITIATION TO THE TASTING For those who want to enter the world of winemaking.
TECHNICAL TASTINGS Wine lovers, associations, sommeliers, hoteliers who want to expand their knowledge about wine.
PAIRING TASTINGS The tasting can be complemented by a combination of different products, opening our senses to a more pleasant gastronomic experience. Taught and directed by the oenologist of the winery.

Wine Visit

The visit to the GORDONZELLO winery consists of three parts and the duration is approximately 120 minutes.

MUSEUM OF VARIETIES

It is located in front of the processing and aging facilities, has 115 grape varieties from around the world, among which you can walk and thus compare closely with each other appreciating the existing differences. The characteristics of our terrain and climate will be explained and how this influences the growth of the vine, in addition to the different tasks that are being carried out in the field.

PRODUCTION AND AGING WINERY

We will visit the 47,000 m2 of plant in which our production and aging building is located, explaining step by step the processes from the entry of the grape to the winery until the final product is released to the market.

PROJECTION OF VIDEO AND TASTING OF THE PEREGRINO WINES

A video will be screened that encompasses all the processes followed in the vineyard and winery for the production of wine during the year. Afterwards, the tasting of three of our PEREGRINO wines with Denomination of Origin León will take place.

Wine Interpretation Center

This center is located in a traditional winery more than 100 years old, where our elders made the wines that beat the lands that now surround us.

The proposed itinerary directs the visitor through the whole process of winemaking, which includes the vineyards, the plant, the vinification processes, the tasting and the repercussions of the wine on our health, without forgetting the old winemakers who have to Thank you for your teachings and traditions.

We have two multimedia equipment with touch screens, which can be used interactively by the visitor to delve into many of the topics discussed above.

This visit will only be made for schoolchildren.

Route of the vineyard

There are two established routes of different duration to know the 205 hectares of vineyard, where you can see the cultivated varieties, Prieto Picudo, Tempanillo, Mencía, Verdejo and Albarín. The route is marked with information panels. It can be done on foot, by bicycle or by car.

We have two guided tours of different lengths , signposted with information panels, to tour the vineyards, which are surrounded by the purest steppe cereal and flanked on the south by the banks of the Cea , which brings to this area a special landscape richness that is evident in this route of the vineyard and wine.

You can also practice all kinds of activities on these routes, such as running, hiking, cycling, horseback riding ... etc, sports tourism in a unique environment.

During your tour we will have a panoramic view of the winery and the vineyards and a bird watching center, for those who love the fauna of the region. At harvest time we can see the different jobs that are carried out in the field, grape harvesting, grape harvesting machine, etc.
